I had a common pleco in my tank and i would drop it in there and he would stay far away from it and i left them in the tank for about 1 hour and it is so hard to clean up even with a gravel vac

I was having a difficult time finding my snail Abe food that didn't have trace amounts of copper in it.
but this product had all natural ingriedients and NO COPPER and everything bottom feeders needed to be healthy and happy:) It also comes with many large pellets that i will just break into fourths and let sink into my tank every other day, the cories and snail LOVE THEM. Highly recomended.:3

These algae wafers are quite large and they seem to "expand" once in the water. Because I have small fish (25G community tank), I break the wafers into pieces and never put more than, say, half a wafer into the tank at feeding time. The wafer does get soft and mushy after a while, but if you have plecos, snails, or other "clean-up" critters, they should take care of it pretty quickly.

I love these little wafers. I have several Nerite snails in multiple freshwater tanks; they do an amazing job of controlling the algae, so sometimes I supplement their food because all the algae is GONE. Copper is toxic for the snails, and this is one of the few products I found without any copper compounds listed in the ingredients.
I assume they taste good because the snails "pounce" on them, and I'll quickly have a big pile of snails all eating some. The snails are always very active so they seem to be getting great nutrition from these and the algae in the tank.
In the past I have had Japanese Algae eating shrimp (Amano shrimp, Caridina multidentata) and Peppered Cory Cats, both species also loved these wafers.
If the wafers are making a mess, then you are feeding too much. The point is to feed as much as the animals will eat quickly, in a few hours for snails and faster for fish and shrimp. ALL food makes a mess if the fish/frogs/shrimp/snails don't eat it, and that smell most likely comes from the food decomposing in the tank. Vacuum up the leftover and feed less next time. More frequent small feedings are better than sporadic large ones.
Pros: price, high quality, smell, taste

My ghost shrimp absolutely love these wafers but they are my worst nightmare. I've fed my shrimp probably about four times with these wafers. the shrimp always race for them. i broke the wafers into very small pieces since there were only three shrimp. after only 2 feedings my tank was covered with a fine coating of brown gunk. after a few more feedings it got even worse. after many water changes and gravel vacuumings the tank is finally clean and with no more feedings, no more gunk!

These are really good. But do not work for me. They dissolve and make a mess very quickly. This is a problem for me because I have snails who can not see very well. So after like 15-30 minuets they are ALL over my tank. I REALLY like Hikari, but this product, is not for me.

Depending on my fish or marine organisms, tells me how much I put in. But at first when I had my three shrimp, and my snail plus my glofish(3), I would only break into a half, then break the half into a half, and I would put flakes in too. The shrimp eat either one so I didnt have to worry. Now I only have one shrimp, my mystery snail, two glofish, three mickey mouse platies. The morning after I got the mickeys they dove for the wafer, I had forgotten that they can eat them, so now I give a little bit more wafers, but I break it into smaller pieces and dispose them into special and different areas. I am very proud of this product, because before I got my shrimp , i had heard many good comments about it, and how well known it was so, I knew that was the one I wanted. And I plan on buying more because I have a small bag, and I plan on adding fish. And upgrading my tank
