I bought this hutch just over a year ago for two bunnies. When shopping, I was overtaken by the cute factor; two levels, a nesting box, doors all over. This hutch is WAY to small for even one adult rabbit. It doesn't allow space for them to hop or stretch. I live where it rains a lot, and the water damaged the wood. The rabbits then made an easy meal of the back of the cage and escaped. There is not any wire at the bottom either, so the little diggers managed to find their way out underneath as well. Cleaning the bottom level of this cage requires patience, muscle and time, because there isn't easy access to clean the ground underneath (which is where the rabbits do the most business). Every week, I had to box up the rabbits, completely move the house and rake up the mess. Really, it is something that should have been done daily, but it was such a hassle it didn't happen. I tried to put a litter pan in the bottom. The rabbits used it, but it took up too much of their already limited space, and the litter box wasn't easy to get in or out of the cage either. Also, the ramp hangs free; attached only by a hinge at the top end. This adds to the difficulty of moving the hutch for cleaning. The ramp really needs to be secured.
Overall, owning this hutch has been a terrible experience for my family and our bunnies. Don't be bamboozled by the cute factor. Don't buy this hutch!

First, I have to qualify my review by saying that we use this indoors-only. I can't testify to how it performs outside. Here are the pros and cons as used indoors for a single Holland Lop house rabbit:
PROS > huge and lovely, it's a bunny penthouse to be proud of. lots of playroom and a private room for the icky litterbox. easy to assemble (I did it by myself in 20 mins). easy to clean. you can buy a large metal pan designed for oil changing at the local auto superstore that fits perfectly under this cage if you keep it indoors and want to put litter in it. if you keep it outdoors, your bun could dig out without the pan, also.
CONS > the heart shaped door locks are useless and have to be replaced or your bun will get out. the second floor is covered in a plastic stick-on surface that is easy to wipe clean but I doubt would do well in the rain or if it got peed on. if your bun isn't litterbox trained, there is no place to put paper or litter on that second floor - it would just fall down the ramp. you have to remove the ramp in order to move the cage, which we do weekly to vacuum the rug we keep beneath it (our bun is 100% litterbox trained).
Overall, we are pleased with this hutch and expect to have it for all of our bun's happy life.
