At first i thought is a ball with a bell really going to be a good toy for a bird but I read the reviews and thought I would give it a try. I got this toy for my baby conure (8 months old) and he LOVES it. he pushes it back and forth to ring the bell and he hangs on it. it's his favorite toy and almost the only thing he plays with. he destroys most toys i buy him within days (he's a chewer) but this one doesn't have a single bite mark even though he does chew it.

Pros: durable, Keeps Pet Entertained, easy to wash, price

Hands down this is the BEST product I've ever bought for my bird! He loves it! It took him a while to get used too but soon he was ringing the bell and spinning the ball for two hours! He never lost interest and after having it for three months, he still plays very much with it. It is the best investment I've ever made! My bird is a biter so I'm pleased he hasn't managed to destroy this yet! Any bird owner looking for an entertaining toy for their bird(s), you need to get this! I recommended this toy to my friend who has two parrotlets. She bought this in a smaller size and she told me her birds love it! This is a great toy, although a bit loud.

I bought this for my lovebird and after a while, he started doing dirty things with the toy, so I had to take it out for his mental health... not too sure if I would recommend it for a small bird... he also kept regurgitating to the toy.

MY ringnecks and conures love this ball. However I would like more information on the metal parts. Are they bird safe and free of lead and zinc?
I would like petsmart to provide this info.

Someone said they recommend this for parakeets, now I never owned any but I can see how a parakeet could get their head stuck on the holes of the ball or their foot in the chain . Consider that it may not be that safe for such a small birdie.

I saw a parrot at a pet store playing with this toy and knew I had to get it for my COCKATIELS. Charlie and Almond still have to get used to it, but when they do, I KNOW they will love this thing! The bell is really nice; it rings very easily. The toy is very nice size for a cockatiel or other similar sized birds; not just for parrots! I'm in love.....

I felt so sad for my little parakeet. He was BORED with all the hard plastic or wood parakeet toys. I saw the soft rubber Holee Roller ball with the bell in it and bought it for the parakeet (It was for Parrots) hoping that it would entertain him. He grabs hold of the soft rubber and rings that bell all day long. He Loves it. It is the best toy for any bird. I thought it might be to big but he takes his foot or beak and moves the ball so the bell will ring. I can't imagine why the bird toy makers would make something soft that they can actually get a hold of without the plastic breaking. BUY THIS FOR YOUR PARAKEET. It's great!!
