I bought the 4 pack of Mice for my cat Lola. She immediatly went for the fluffy black one. That was last year. Now Lola hides It all over, and she has lost It many times, but she loves It. Other than losing its tail fur it is in good shape. I reccomend this to anyone with an energetic little kitty!
Pros: durable, Keeps Pet Entertained

I bought the fur mice that had been dyed bright colors. My pet chewed one of them up and left it on my brand new carpet while I was at work. The dye from the mouse soaked into the carpet and permanently stained it. My carpet is ruined because of this toy.

My youngest cat Loki (aka: The Little Monster, though he's a big one now) absolutely loves toy mice. He was born in a feral cat colony then bottle fed at a very young age after his mother was spayed and couldn’t produce milk. He plays aggressively, loves to carry things in his mouth, and is the most active and athletic cat I’ve ever had. I had bought him a 60 pack of another brand of toy mice, but his habit of putting them in the Drinkwell pet fountain made me decide to find a different mouse. The other brand mice were rainbow colored and turned the water whatever color the mouse was, leaving me with two other unhappy cats who just stared at their colored water. Having to change the water sometimes multiple times a day was bad enough, but I had to rinse the fountain and refill it, just so Loki could do it again.
Enter the PetSmart Fur Mice. Loki loves these mice maybe more than the previous ones and he prefers the black ones over the other two colors. These do not change the water color and last longer with Loki's wet/dry process. It seems like this became an obsession of his when the "skin" of the toy mice came off the plastic body after several wet/dry processes, but whether he is smart enough to figure that out after a few instances I don’t know. He REALLY loves the "skins" from these mice and will carry them everywhere until I throw them away (once he was staring out the window with a “skin” in his mouth). When he is playing with a toy mouse he usually puts the mouse in the water if he needs to take a drink, and sometimes leaves it there to take a nap or eat. The ears sometimes come off, but he doesn't care. Occasionally I pull them off before giving him one if I see they are a little loose. The tails stay on much better than other mice, though one or two might be tailless. The only problem is Loki tends to put them somewhere and forget where, or he kicks them under the furniture.
I highly recommend these for anyone with an active cat, though we all know cats' interest varies greatly.
