My seven year old Vizsla had been having some stomach issues on a different high quality food and while I think that is a very good dog food it just wasn't right for him. I have switched him to this food and we are seeing very good steady improvements. He really likes the food and has not had the gastointestinal issues he was having. I highly recommend this food.

2 out of 3 of my dogs have allergies/tummy troubles. We tried lots of different types of chicken, beef, fish and of course the bland diet. We are we not going to give up trying to find a food that would be gentle on them when our vet recommended we try venison. Thankfully Nutro made it and the price was perfect!
It has been over three years that our Dogs have been on the road to healthy!!!

Best Dog Food on the Market

Our Corgi had problems with her stools, as well as allergies attributed to fungus, etc. in the yard (we live in a temperate climate). She had diarrhea off and on, would vomit occasionally, would scratch and shake her ears, lick her paws and would sneeze along with some sort of wheezing the vet called a "backward sneeze". Then another vet recommended this product and ALL symptoms cleared up. All of them! She has been on this product exclusively now for five years and is now a healthy eleven year old dog. People are surprised to hear how old she is, she looks so young, healthy and energetic. She is also a normal weight with a good coat and no grey hair! No more expensive vet bills! She gets the usual vaccines and checkups which come back excellent. I would not give a dog any other product, it's the only one I can recommend and well worth purchasing.

i switched for the natural base, venison and other ingredients. I have an allergic Boston Terrier who's on prescription allergy meds. I also feed my female Boston was very healthy and my 1 yr old English Bulldog. All now eat within 3 min and are satisified till next feeding. Feeding all twice daily.

My 3 year old South African Boerboel suffered from ear infections and fur loss due to allergies. I tried every food under the sun. I paid my share of $ 400.00 vet bills to try to get his problem under control. Then one day I was in Pet Smart and was told this dog food might do the trick. It's been 1 year on the Nutra and my dog has only seen the vet for a check up. My big boy has all his fur and no ear infections. Thank You!!!! Thank You!!!

8 years ago, I was browsing kijiji for god knows what and came across an ad for a very sad looking, 4 year old dog. Every time I checked the site, there she was. Nobody wanted her and you could tell from the pictures, she wasn't being cared for properly or treated right. So we adopted her. Apparently she had quite the life on the streets as well, until her first owner went to rehab and she was then given to the "lovely" people we took her from. This poor girl had been through so much and sadly, didn't even know how to be a dog. From day one, she has had an aversion to dry dog food. We've tried them all and she wouldn't touch them unless they were filled to the brim with junk, which obviously wouldn't help her serious allergies. She's spent most of her life licking and chewing. Until now. 8 years later, she ASKS to be fed! 8 years and she finally, FINALLY has normal skin. Bye bye allergies. I can't thank this brand enough, we have a whole new dog because of them :)

My name's Beefy and I'm a 4 year old American Bulldog. I've had terrible ear infections on and off for almost my entire adult life. My human used to have to take me to the vet 2 or 3 times a year to kill the bacteria growing in my ear from the infections. I tried to stop the ear infections by eating other, more expensive limited ingredient diets with little success.
Three months ago, based solely on the reviews from this website, my human switched me over to Nutro Natural Choice Venison and Brown Rice. Within a week my ears were back to normal. After 3 months my ears haven't even turned alittle red, I do believe I'm cured. I will never eat another brand of dog food for the rest of my life. I've never gone this long before without having itchy ears and without having to constantly shake my head to get the yucky stuff out.

I have a 13 yr old lab-chow mix, who has always had loose stools. I have always made long grain white rice with low sodium chicken broth (l/2 broth and 1/2 water) and it didn't make a difference. But Oct. 2011 I switched to this food, along with the white rice and I also add about 1/4 tsp of reg. Plain yogurt, and happy to say this works!!!! I am so happy that I finally found a diet for her that works. I wouldn't think of changing. She weighs about 45 lbs for the amount of yogurt. I also have a 2 yr old standard poodle that eats the yogurt and dry food and he loves it. He gets about a tsp of yogurt mixed in. This one works.

We have two dogs, the first one we got last year and she had no problems adjusting to the food we chose, then we brought home Antonio, a very loving wonderful 3 year old husky, we tried putting him on the same food at first and It didn't take. After a couple weeks of non stop loose stool we decided to try something new. We were told he might have a wheat allergy so after doing research I selected a brand that came highly recommended and had no wheat, soy or corn it was expensive but I thought it was worth it if it helped him feel better. He seemed to like it, but it didn't like him. Nothing changed so I went back to researching and found this dog food. I read reviews and saw that people had similar problems and this helped. So we put him on it. At first I was worried since this had been such a big on going problem I thought it wouldn't work, but now we have been using it for 2 weeks and we have finally solved his stomach problems. I'm very happy and relieved that this problem is finally fixed and I would recommend this product to anyone who has a dog with a sensitive stomach!

I had my puppy on Nutro Sensitive Stomachs Puppy Food because my vet recommended feeding him this since he had constant diarrhea and skin problems (he would rip out his fur). That made the problem better, but he still had really soft stools. When looking for a food to put him on when he turned 1 year old I read the reviews for this Nutro food. Everybody with similar problems with their dogs said it worked miracles. I bought it and tried it out and boy were they right! My dog loves the food and now his stool is never super-soft on the verge of diarrhea. I would definitely recommend this food to any dog owner who is experiencing skin or gastrointestinal/stool issues with their dog. This will have them right as rain in as little as a day or two!

Our Mini Schnauzer had been on Ultra for 3 years!! First, the puppy, and then the adult small breed version. He loved it and was happy w/ it. I'm positive it was very healthy for him and I have no regrets w/ him eating it during his "developmental years". HOWEVER, it really made him stink!
We've always tolerated his strong doggy odor and thought it there was nothing we could do about it. We thought it was just the breed or maybe just him! I was complaining about it at work one day to a group of people and they all told me it was probably his dog food. I went to Petsmart that night and talked w/ a sales clerk. She said her dog used to be on it too and he also stunk! She suggested Nutro venison w/ brown rice, and it really has made a difference.
I know that all dogs have a different body chemistry, so perhaps you're dog will do fine on it, but this was our experience. I'm thinking the problem has to do w/ Ultra having so much protein, but am not sure.

After trying various different brands of dry foods for my 2 pugs, (one of which has a severe skin allergy) I was recommended this particular food by a product educator that happened to be in the store that day. I saw improvements in my dogs skin and coat in less than 2 weeks and the best thing about it, she actually liked her new food for once. Not to mention that my other pug does as well. They both get so many compliments on their coats. I've been feeding it to them ever since!
